After farming full time for 36 years, buying used tractors and typically replacing rubber, sometimes twice on any given tractor- three of which now have over 9000 hours apiece- those prices are not surprising. Only one I got by with under a grand was the 3020. One set I bought and replaced myself, including the fluid. Took a little doing and jerry-rigging, but when money was tight, you do what you need to do. Oil and tire prices are related, like so many other things. Just need to roll with the punches.
