I love this country we live in for a lot of different reasons, but the free market system is way up on the list. I do not like the high prices anymore than anyone else. But, supply and demand is what our economy is based upon. I love to work on these old machines as a HOBBY. Others do it for a living. Differance, they need to be paid for their time. I have been lucky, I make enough to pay my expenses. Look around awhile, it may take some time, but maybe you will find someone who does it for fun. Sometimes I think I like to look more than buy, because of all the neat people I get to meet.

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
