Learning Techniques and Safe Use of a Tractor

Okay, here I am ladies and gentlemen, a former suburbanite who now has a five acre minifarm with thoughts of converting part of this into an orchard. My only experience with farming technique is limited to my time as a graduate student at the ag-campus in Minnesota during a stint working in corn research plots in Entomology. (I worked in the fields with borers and corn...and only planted our plots with a drop planter in nicely plowed fields!) Where would I start to learn about Tractors, implements, how to plow a straight row, etc. My Daddy was no farmer :-(. I live in Northern Ohio (Lorain County). Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I can even take some ribbing! Thanks, Lon Dittrick
