The number's for murder is up this years for Chi town. Take a look at DC's numbers for this year. They put Chi towns numbers to shame. East St. Louis area around the speed way is ground zero for Illinois. Never be in that entire area after dark. The state of Il truck garage in that area has armed guards 24/7. Madison and St Clair county is no man's land which is East Louis, IL. I44 and I55 routes in that area. Never exit.
BEST rounte to beat Chicaho roads is to use the new extension on I 355 (which is toll way) either to or from I 80 or I 55. I 90 connects to route 53 south going into I 355 to I 55 or on south to the newly openned extension of I 355 to I 80. NO more driving on the Rayn express way using the above routes.
When working the South side for years we WOULD PICK THE COLD DAYS AND GO EVRY EARLY IN THE DAY.
At Harlen and Chicgo both streets the cops told us to run the red lights at night so to never stop.
