EXACTLY a week ago I posted about hitting a deer while the wife was driving her Corolla. She also was wanting a new car, I was with her when the deer was hit, no chance at all to miss or stop. She was wanting rid of her/our 2000 Kia Sportage, as it has been nothing but trouble. She wishes it would have been the Kia instead of the Corolla totaled, but she ended up getting what she has been complaining for, a Chevy HHR. Traded the Kia in on the HHR, 06 HHR with 34236 miles, meaning still under factory warranty, no codes pending, took the code reader with me, Carfax is clean, was rental fleet. Anyhow, I found it on Craigslist St Louis for $9990, books at $11750 to $12500. NADA, KBB, Edmunds never agree. Ended up dumping the Kia with over 100k, total out of pocket 7990 before all the money the state will get. Moral of story, don't buy NEW, 2 or 3 year old better bet. ALSO, seems like the wife ALWAYS seems to end up getting her way somehow. DOUG
