We never buy new, but the Mrs. was all excited about a 5 year old red Ford powerstroke at a local dealer a few years back. I didn't really want to put out the money (although we needed to replace the old one), so figured the most graceful way out was to make a crazy-lowball offer. Mrs. appreciates frugality, and I'm not just refusing to buy. I make the offer, guy goes to his manager (of course), comes back and accepts. No graceful way out now, but at least we got a good deal. Still have the truck, it has been a good 'un.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
