But the supply exists - you can get as much gas as you need, just pay the price. If you're old enough to remember early 70's first gas 'shortage' the government price and supply controls attempt with Dems congress spread the pain- you could get gas on alternate days, all the stations got rough 80% of what they pumped previous year, prices werre not allowed to go above figurer from previous months, government inspectors had job security enforcing the rules, economy dropped bad because people couldn't get to work or get stuff delivered unless they went 'black market' for fuel. That was a experiment not repeated for next fuel crisis- political science graduates working for Liebural congressmen couldn't deliver fuel, so don't put them in charge of supply, let experienced providers of fuel get it at whatever it costs to public, no early gas station closings, adjust price to reflect actual value of dollar and supply of commodities cost plus a bit of speculaton on future supply.
