I've had a few good buys. Bought 6 smaller and 2 large channel iron saw horses for $7.50 each. A couple of flow meters for about $20 and a straight Victor torch for a pipe beveler for $30. At another Auction I bought a 10 year old Miller trailblazer 55 diesel welder with Arctic modification, that runs MIG and stick, that was used for automatic pipeline welding, for $2750. A new one at the time was about $18,000. I bought 3 Humus 3 pt. automatic tree row cultivators for $300 each and sold one for $2400. They were around $8000 when new. I don't think anybody knew what the Humus machines were for and the same thing with the welder. There were 8 welders for sale. I didn't even have the top bid but did bid earlier and then the auctioneer asked who else wanted one, starting with the other bidders. Again I don't think anyone knew what the difference was with these welders. You'd think with 3 times more adjustments and meters and such on them than a standard welder, people would realize they weren't your everyday welding machine. 400 amp, 100% duty cycle for both MIG and stick. It's nice to get a good deal sometimes. Usually what I want is what 10 other people want. Dave
