The Adjustable Wide Front Axle was not an option on the 70 Series "Standard" JD Tractor. It was the only way it came from the Factory,and yes the Adjustable Wide Front Axle was an option on the 70 series "Row Crop" version.The Row Crop version was a much lighter Axle than the one used on the "Standard". Swartz and others furnished an After Market Wide Front Axle for these Row Crop Tractors which were adaptable to many other Tractor Brands.
