I am not cranky but am opiniated and that gets mistook for cranky. Don't see why but it happens. My brother said some time ago he had figured it out that old men get accused of being grumpy or cranky because all their life have had to put up with being handed the dirty end of the stick and when they rebel and say they ain't going to take it any more people think they are being cranky when they are not only fed up with being jerked around.
