My take on this is that the producers AND consumers are taking it in the pocket book. Producers like farmers have been sucking hind teat for a long time. What"s really happening is the large PARASITE factor in the economy. All those who are speculating, handling the money, etc, and not adding anything productive to the economy. This would including the banking, finance, stock areas of the economy. They don"t add anything productive, just suck money off, reducing productivity, sometimes resulting in obscene profits for those who don"t do a thing for producers and consumers. (Yeah, the government is in that list for sure.)
