You will catch him if you use marshmallows for bait; put a few outside the trap as freebies. I'm at about 10 for the year now in a live trap. Once he's inside the trap cover it with a tarp and take skunk, trap and tarp to an open field. Open the trap and let the skunk out. There are many options at this point. The skunks I catch don't come back. No, not one has offered to spray while in the trap or when I release them. About half do spray when they get the lead poisoning.
