are you unhooked from the crank? if you are not ,you need to do this.presuming you are,go to napa and get some P.B.BLASTER.it is a foaming penatrent.GOODSTUFF! i'd gargle with if it didn't hurt.heheheh! anyway,try that,use a flat brass punch around the edges of the pistons,about 1 inch diameter punch would work well.remember any piston can be found,sleves is another story.i ended up sending a continental block to the machine shop where they drilled releif holes down through the pistons , and then pressed the piston down throough.that worked.we saved the sleves,new pistons,and that flat head purrs today.don't get up set.take your time.half the fun is working on them.there is a guy up here in MAINE that has a bunch of those tractors.every one of them were seized,they all run today.good luck let me know how you made out. missery.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
