if the pump is electric, your cutoff solenoid could be out. hook up the wire on the top cover and turn on the ignition, if you hear a click, then it's good make sure the cover is grounded when you do this if it's not electric it could be your pumping plungers,shoes,rollers or cam. Sometimes a small bit of trash gets into these components and ruins them immediately. also, remove your metering valve(the small plug with the groove cut in the side) and check for deep scratches. if none put it back in its bore and check for excessive play. that could be your problem There could be a milion things wrong with this pump, but I'm sure its something small from what you're describing. I think your best bet would be to take it down to a shop or injecion speciaist. there are about 129 parts to this pump,and when you put it back together,there are certain tests you have to run on it if you want it to work right.
