Galvanized pipe is now legal to use as gas pipe in Washington state. I was told by a plumbing inspector that there has been a change in the manufacturing process.It suprised me to see it . Most places are now using the yellow flex tubing. As far as using it as burner tubing goes the off gassing would be somewhat of a concern.Would have to see how the burner is setup. Minimal amount of zinc would burn off I would expect.
