Don't want to rain on your parade, but you might not have what you think you will have when you are done. A lot of times a fire can burn every seal and gasket out of the engine and hydraulic system. Also, depending on the intensity of the fire, could have done some structural damage to the steel. Then after you get all that done, you have the electronics and wiring to contend with. Before I got in too deep with that project, I would be taking a lot of things off, and make sure there is not more damage than what appears on top. good luck. Jim

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
