1968 blue Mustang GT fastback with 4 bbl 302HP, 4 sp, 9" 3:50 gears. Quick little car! It had the same suspension as the 390 engine GT, so I bought a 427 410 hp that came out of a 64 Galaxy and bored it .030, installed it and put in 3:00 gears. Donīt know how fast it would go. Over 130, it just got scary. The 427 with mechanical lifters would redline around 7000 rpm and rear tires didnīt last long! Sold it to my brother in 1980, he restored it back with original 302 and it is parked in a storage shed in Colorado springs while he is in Iraq working on helicopters. He sold the 427 for a good bit of money. Iīve tried to buy the car back, but he wants a Barrett Jackson kind of price.
