Ford 3000 short

While replacing the solenoid (2nd time in two years) without first disconnecting the hot lead from the battery, one of the connecting wires to the solenoid shorted and sparked...when I finished hooking up the new solenoid, I turned the key and got nothing except dashboard lights leading me to believe I shorted out something (a fuse perhaps), the question is what (where)?
