1977 VW Beetle (ok, take a deep breath) took the 1600cc dual port out of it, had the case machined to accept a MOFOCO 2165cc kit with the 050 heads. MOFOCO cam, dual Dellorto carbs, Jacobs ignition, lots of chrome and polished aluminum. VW Bus trans. Was a peppy little s**t box until the unibody started to fall apart, then put the motor in a dune buggy and sold it.
After that was a 1991 Ford Mustang with a blown 4 banger that I traded a Suzuki LT250R quadracer for. Put a used built injected 302 - bored and stroked to 347, stand alone computer - laptop controlled, 22lb/hr injectors, ported and polished trick flow heads matched intake, cold air induction, ceramic coated headers/wrapped, dual 3 inch exhaust with flowmasters, msd ignition with a tremec 6 speed and 4.56 geared 8.8 rear. Lowered it 2in, put on 16" wheels, painted it Mopar Opal Signal Green and put on a cowl induction hood 2". Tinted all the windows black, added some aftermarket buckets seats in the front. Then college came and it got sold.
