Can sometimes be less than UPS and FedEx. Depends on how far off the Interstates you are.

I've found that site to be almost as useless as t!ts on a chicken. The shippers want you to haul for less than the price of fuel, get guys battling over hauling some piece of junk for $0.50/mile, USHIP fees are getting rediculous like EBAY, shippers post things on there and don't respond to questions/bids/etc. Go ahead and put your load on there, I can't imagine it being around much longer. Too many dead end loads on there.
Fex Ex is normally 10-20% less expensive than UPS, especially on the heavier stuff. I have an account with them, they will pick up, just call a day ahead. Or use the Web.
For smaller stuff, Post office has some "flat rate" boxes. Any weight. They will also pick up. Just schedule on line by 2a.m. They will also let you order boxes online. My favorite are the flat rate boxes. Great for Pistons/manifolds, iron/steel parts that are small but heavy.

Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
