You can blame predatory banks pushing credit cards but...
I learned some simple math way back in elementary school.
Money in/month >= money out/month.
No one seems to teach this. Everyone is taught that a $8000 limit card means $10/month for the rest of your life.
I must be the stupid one though. I didn't get a balloon loan on my house, and my credit cards are paid off every month.
Maybe I need to take a huge loan on my house, and run my credit cards to the max. then claim I can't pay them off. I'll claim ignorance.
Sounds far fetched, but I am looking at my neighbor with a new Duramax Chevy and triple axle fifth wheel, new 4 wheeler, etc, claims he can't make his house payment.
I refer him to my simple math above. Response "But I like to go camping and my kids need a 4 wheeler"
Whole thing just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe I "need" a new tractor OR TWO, skidsteer, and some new motorcycles for the kids are in order. I am getting sick of working on all my used equipment since that is all I own.
