With your limited knowledge of how the circuit works for turn and marker lights I would get someone who knows how to wire them in or you could cause some serious damage to the system. Most of what I read below shows that your helpers don't know much either so take their advice and then go get someone who is an expert on auto electrical systems. there two main types of systems you first need to know how yours is wired them proceed with caution. Use a light tester to locate each wire by turning on the lights that you want to connect. In other words turn on the parking lights and see what is hot then turn on the signal and see which wire is hot intermittently. Never trust anyone or any thing to just plain luck check each and every wire with the tester. If you can't or don't understand this then quit before you get into trouble.
