Obviously the poster didn't have any more of a idea about the issues than the caller. The rich don't pay the majority of the taxes. The poor do not pay no taxes. The Gov calls the rich, people who make $110,000+. Why would anybody think anybody in that bracket on up to 200k are rich. Then it doesn't take in account the cost of living for an area. 200k would go far in my area but not in NY. I think this is all the gov and the rich acting like they're a sugar daddy or just your daddy wanting you to think like you owe something to them. All the news say the poor don't pay taxes. I know people and am pretty far down on the food chain and when they figure my taxes every year, I pay some. A simplistic tax look is about $7000 in standard deductions, so if you make 10k you're going to pay taxes on $3000 and the rich doesn't pay taxes on the same $7000. So all this said I don't think there are any where near 40% of people not paying taxes, because it just don't add up. $3000-Obviously this wasn't what the employee was going to work for, it's the corporations tax break to bring jobs back to the US. I think it should go from this to substantial tax penalties for having jobs offshore.
