There's doing something, than there's actually doing something. McCain is one of the most well known, powerful Senators in Congress. Why haven't we heard something about the housing market till after the crash. Just because some senators tabled something, doesn't mean McCain actually did something. He could have went to the media and took whatever else steps he needed too, instead of appearing on Imus and Jay Leno. That was just a white wash that he said something.
