Chris, the Thomas-bilt,re-named a year later as the Tuff-bilt was built in my town of Cumming, GA for almost 10 years. It was patterned after the Allis G, and it's main selling point was picking on the few flaws the G had. Mainly power, ground speeds, and lift systems. They started out with Tecumseh engines, then went to Kohlers, the ones exported overseas we powered by Lombardi hand start diesels. The hydro transmission helped with the ground speed problems of G's, the "Bilt tractors had three point hitches both on the rear and mid-mounted to make them more versatile. As the engines die, most people around here re-power them with a 18 or 20 hp Kohler twin. They are really nice tractors to work with. If you get it, let me know, I can send you PDF files of the parts, owners, and service books for it.
