I had to quit watching the news and reading the paper because I was angry all the time. Bad economic times are partly a state of mind and the constant drum beat of bad news causes stampede mentality and makes a bad situation worse. The politicians said the taxpayers could end up making money on the bailout because we would get distressed assets. I've seen too much of how the govt. operates to believe that line. Who wants "distressed assets"? Not me. Looks like we won't even get that.
