some time ago in the colorado mountains I was under a new modular we put up. I felt a cold body part on the back of my neck. Knowing snakes(those with rattely things) were near aswell as skunks I carefully turned over to face a skunk face to face. It licked my face as I lay very still. Rembering the neighbor down the way had a descented skunk and knowing they were not known for being kind to animals SHOOTING BEARS with pistol along the road (he did 60 days for that one) answering ads of folks wanting a safe loving home for their potbellied pigs, next day having a small pig hanging in a tree, you get the picture. I carefully discussed the situation with the skunk as to if he was friendly. It curled up in my arms, as we carefully crawled out the crawspace. Outside it followed me for 2 hours untill I started toward the owners home. It went to my shop. I called and later they came up. The little fellow did not want to go and for the next years would excape often and run to my shop climb up my leg and set on the workbench for hours.
