#1-DO arithmetic #2 It's A sorry day #3-parents not Parents #4- When WAS the last time.

Now take a look at the statistics. Whether these are exact doesn't matter, it will give you the general idea.

idea.http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0779196.html

Year Total Male Female
1960 27.2% 27.8% 26.7%
1970 15.0 14.2 15.7
1980 14.1 15.1 13.1
1985 12.6 13.4 11.8
1990 12.1 12.3 11.8
1992 11.0 11.3 10.7
1993 11.0 11.2 10.9
1994 11.4 12.3 10.6
1995 12.0 12.2 11.7
1996 11.1 11.4 10.9
1997 11.0 11.9 10.1
1998 11.8 13.3 10.3
1999 11.2 11.9 10.5
2000 10.9 12.0 9.9
2001 10.7 12.2 9.3
2002 10.5 11.8 9.2
2003 9.9 11.3 8.4
2004 10.3 11.6 9.0
2005 9.4 10.8 8.0

Now if you read these statistics correctly you would notice that the number of dropouts has dropped in the last 45 years. You seem to want to blame the teachers but can't because it's not their fault. If the kid doesn't want to work he or she doesn't have to because if the teacher dragged him down to the principals office like in the old days then the kid would go home and complain and the parents would charge the teahcer with abuse and it all points to the parent. It's all about the parent. It always goes back to the parent. A displined kid is a well behaved kid and a spoiled kid is a brat. The parents want their kid to go through school to get their Gr.12. Some could care less whether or not they pass with a 50% or 85%. They want the kid to get the gr.12. That's it. Also, the teachers do care. They don't stay after school to help the kids who need help because they don't care. Most of this is unpaid and while they only do it 1-2 times a week they do still help the kids out. Stop blaming the teachers because they're easy to blame. Look at the real cause of the problem.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
