Neighbor told me that 30+ years ago, if you needed to take cre of something on Sunday or a Religous Holiday (plenty of them here), you had to get permission from the Preacher.
If my horses are hungry or thirsty, they get a water wagon or round bale regardless of what day it is. I try to accomodate when possible. I do it while church is going on because I don't go anywhere near it on my route. First couple of times anyone said something, I just asked them why they weren't in Church and gave them a disgusted look.
