Now this seems like a simple thing to figure out, but my neighbor bought an '86 Ford 7610 4WD recently. Turns out, this tractor was imported from England. I won't go into the political stuff behind this, no need to get anybody riled on this. Unlike the 7000 series Fords for this country, apparently this critter has saddle tanks for fuel, and he can not find a place to fill the second tank. He said he could tell it wasn't going over to it by gravity, or a connector line. Now I have to wonder if these tanks aren't connected by a common line that possibly has a valve between them that is maybe electronically controlled and possibly has a fuse blown. When he first got the tractor, it stayed in 4WD constantly, until he found a blown fuse, replaced it, and now the 4WD works like it's supposed to. Anybody ever dealt with one of these?? Or do you know where I could go to find out about them??? I have not checked yet to see if Ford has a European website, but if they do, I doubt that they will have information on 80's models.
