How did you get it done already? You must be more efficient than us. We have been getting about 13000 bu per day on average. I thought it was more than that until I figured it up. Some days close to 20,000 bu, and then next day it seems we have lots of moves, pigs to work with, or full bins, or dry corn to haul in so bin can be used again. What REALLY kills our average is when we have to go to town and quit when elevator closes.
Lost a whole day on a combine breakdown also. Had some 17% corn 2 weeks ago, but now back into 108 day stuff planted mid May, and it is 20-21% still. I have 5 in-bin dryers going now, but have them set on 70 degrees to try to save some $$. Was drying at 125 degrees a few weeks back, when we wanted to dry it fast and transfer it out, but now are on final fill, so drying slower. Fall tillage is going slow--we have been going all night lately. I don't think we stand a chance of getting any ammonia on--may be lucky to get all pits pumped.
