First they have to be old enought to handle the gun given them and taught safety and how to use them which comes from their guardian don't blame a kid for improper training. I have been handling guns since I was 7 and with no nonsense and no accidents. Also for your information my friend at work when he was a kid him and a friend use to take their rifles to school and during mid day break they would go to the woods behind their schools and shoot squirrels and all their principal said was don't be late boys and don't make a mess with you squirrels. No body got hurt except the squirrels. It all has to do with personal responsibility which seems to be going downhill fast.
