If its Diesel a new distributer isn't gonna help it. If its Gas then Glow Plugs ain't gonna help it either.
So what do you heve? Gas or Diesel? If it's Diesel, you need the owner's manual,(avail from JD), so you know the starting procedure. They use "slow heating" glow plugs, not the quick ones like used on newer machines.
