Been asked and rehashed a million times here but here we go again. Decided this week I'm getting new tires on the F-150. I've never put new tires on this truck, just take-offs from other trucks. I've sandblasted and painted the wheels and I'm ready to go shopping. I use the stock 235-75R 15 tires. I travel mostly blacktop but on occasion get in sticky situations where traction is a plus. I want an extra load tire. I put about 7,000 miles a year on this truck so I really don't need an 80,000 mile tire. I had a set of Firestone ATX tires on another truck years ago that wore like iron for several years until state inspection flagged them due to sidewall cracks. What tires gave you the best service under similar conditions? (New York/Pennsylvania border driving area)
