Well... I don't know what deal you agreed to in the spring, so I'll say this. Our pricing on firewood is like this. If you want it split, it's 155/cord. If you want it round, it's 135/cord. If you want it in 8' or random lengths then it's 115/cord. That's all based on 8' measurements and all delivered prices. Most of our competitors around here have lower prices for 8' and round wood... but we give a break for split wood since we didn't really want to handle 8' lengths.
Look at pricing in your area to determine what your 'time' is worth.
Personally, I read the other responses from people who think you're being taken advantage of and I wonder... but did you really expect that you'd get 2-4 cords of wood for absolutely nothing? Around here you'd not get it for nothing... There's lots of stuff done on the buddy system like that and it'd probably get split 50/50 or so in your case. Really, you're getting a bunch of wood for a few hours work.
