Scott: Your line likely blew out because of a weak spot caused by age fatigue, who knows. When you get a new hose made up, the guy who does it should steer you right. Your system will not be over 2500 psi, but your hose should be a minimum of twice that rating to allow for shock loads which WILL happen no matter how careful you are. As far as your oil goes, that can dpend on what system you have, from the tractor or an independent pump. Get a good quality transmission/hydraulic fluid and you shouldn't be far wrong. Oh, and when you get new fittings for the hose, get hydraulic fittings. Do not use water pipe fittings. Good Luck. Tom
