Hello I just bought a "53" Farmall Super A with a Henderson loader. The current loader hydraulics set-up is jury-rigged and real ugly and in need of an upgrade. The tractor comes standard with a hydraulic pump which normally just powers the "touch control" system but has been modified with a small manifold to also power (quite well) the two main lifting cylinders from a single valve. The lift cylinders are power up, gravity down. The dump cylinder (power up and down) is powered from a separate pump and valve. The dump cylinder pump is a power steering pump from a Chevy, hung off the front engine pully. I want to replace this setup with one that will give me power up and down on all three cylinders from a two spool loader valve. I would prefer to continue to utilize the Farmall pump, if it's strong enough. If it isn't I'll get a proper pump to replace the psu. I am not looking to go over-board on beefing up the loader's capacity, but rather, I'd like to update the loader's functionality. I'm looking in the Northern Hydraulics catalog but I really need some advice on the best way to complete this upgrade. Any help would be great. Regards, Dave Terry

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
