It amazes me that it seems to miss most of the posters here that we have offically not been in a recession until just recently. The official definition of a recession , if I recall correctly, is 3 consecutive quarters with a loss of GNP. This is something that Paul Harvey has reminded us of frequently but all the nay sayers want to paint as dreary a picture as possible while Bush is in office. But what they can't refute is we HAVE NOT BEEN IN A RECESSION FOR YEARS, because we have not met the paramaters that define a recession until the last several months. As usual the libs don't want their train of thought interrupted by pertinant facts.
