Remember this is a relatively new motor, not like the 265-400 small block that has been there since the 50's, so you can expect changes that improve it. I know a change was made in 2003/2004 cause the parts are for teo different designators (LLY vs something else). I haven't seen that kind of change in the 2006/2007 engines. BTW I have a 2004 and really like it. I added an Edge chip but didn't need it. That product's only value turns out to be more accurate speedometer and the pyrometer. I find the stock speedometer reads low all the time between 2 and 3 mph.
