My first introduction or experience with any union was in the mid 60's While going to school I had a summer job with Rockwell Standard. The shift sup came around mid shift and said the plant would work one hour of overtime. Following in his foot steps was the shop stewart. "We get no more done in 9 hours than we will in 8 hours." Sounding strange to me. I was not in production end of plant so still got time and half at 1.60 per hour base pay. Forty some years later is this still the norm????
