1020 is a great utility tractor - but I don't know where you're getting the 46 horsepower figure from. I have two of them. 1020 uses either a 135 cubic inch gas engine, or a 152 cubic inch diesel. Both are three-cylinder and both Nebrask test # 937 Rated at 38.9 horsepower at 535 PTO RPM, and 36 horsepower on a 1000 RPM PTO. 31.8 max drawbar horsepower.
My Deere 300B backhoe-loader also has the same engine - it's basically a 1020 painted yellow with a backhoe stuck on it - and better hydraulics.
