The pickup I wish I still had, I do indeed still own. It was a 1966 Chevy short bed stepside, originally an Army pickup with Detroit locker rear axle. I blew the 6 popper one night when it was right at 20 below stop light drag racing the unsuspecting 100 miles from home, it actually made it to within 35 miles of home before the rod finally blew thru the block. Put a 283 with powerglide in it. Put 327 truck heads (bigger valves) and a Carter AFB carb on it. Has had headers on it, but back to polished exhaust on it along with a built turbo 350 tranny when it burned up setting too close to a barn that burned down in the middle of the night. DOUG

I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
