Had a buddy call me from Grapevine TX around 20 years ago. He knew I liked toys and a guy he knew had a 95% finished Porsche/VW 914 for sale cheap. I drove 300 miles and looked at it. Paid cash and went to a U Haul joint and rented a car dolly. Loaded up the car and headed back towards San Antonio. Hit the first railroad track coming out of Saginaw and the car came off stuck on the tracks. Bigger than Dallas you can see a train coming in the distance. Two strangers jumped out of their trucks and helped me push it off the tracks. In those day U haul folks put the dolly on the trucks for you and the kid didn't notice the ball size on my El Camino. Now I ALWAYS check my work and everyone else's also.
