I would by-pass the 99' Fords altogether as they had allot of problems too resolve, clutch/auto tranny, front-end, PSD components, foot pedal, glow plugs & relays, and ???
By 01' almost all the problems were worked out and 02' & 03' were the cherry years with the 7.3.
I only have 30k miles on my 02', PS pump(my cost), master cylinder & fuel sendor (warranty)
A set of OEM injectors is about $1600 new for a DIY project. I use 1qt ATF (typeF)/100gal No2. a 50yr known mix for 500k mile injector and pump lube.
I use a non-vented fuel cap to rid my PSD of the cackle problem, (air in the fuel problem.)
Unless your going to race your PSD, I would stay away from engine chips. The stock PSD does not have one problem with pulling a 31kGCW load at 60mph.
