Just as foolish, as plasma cutting becomes common place I see more and more people cutting away without ANY eye protection let alone UV protection. I made it a rule on my shift at work that if I find someone plasma cutting without a helmet, tinted face shield or darkened safety glasses for plasma, I'll have them talk to the big guy about their upcoming 3 day un-paid vacation. Plasma cutting WILL hurt you as bad as welding. And it's more stupid as the company provides all the safety gear.
