About the only tradition left is Christmas Eve with all the kids here. Hope it works out anyway,that's the plan. Daughter and son in law have an hours drive on a good day but the weather is not good. We had always gotten together with my parents and siblings and all their kids,but Dad passed away 2 years ago. My brother wanted to just take our mother out for dinner this past Sunday,all of us siblings and the spouses. Ma ended up in the hospital,weather sucked,you name it. She was supposed to come tomorrow for supper with all of us,but my youngest brother and his wife are going to the cabin and she's going with them since she's been sick and doesn't want to be left home alone. The wife has to work Christmas day,so it looks like things will be pretty quiet. Her Dad is supposed to be up from Virginia,but the way the weather is,I'll be amazed if he can make it past the state line. Looks like sitting here alone is the new tradition.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
