Thanks to everyone for all the great information. This forum has always been helpfully but this really gave me a ton of GOOD information to consider. At this point I am leaning towards a large garden tractor. Only because I have the equipment to repair it, the room to store it indoors and I can transport it with my truck. I can sell my current garden tractor to increase the budget and have one machine for everything. Next step is to determine which JDs used a shaft driven snow thrower. I do not want a belt driven.
