I agree the Ns are too small for round bales. Whatever you get make darned sure it has FACTORY 3 point. You can get by with a smaller tractor if you are willing to move round bales with a bale spear on the 3 point rather than a loader. I like the 3 cyl Fords. Look at 2000,3000,2600,3600 models. 4000, 4600 would move rounds on a front loader but they are a little big for a lot of things. Unless you are running a baler or snow blower I think Live PTO is entirely over rated. But I wouldn't be without PS and Live Hydraulics. Three cyl Fords came both in gas or diesel. Both are excellent. Though around here the jury is still out on whether diesels STINK too much to be useful. Lots of great help here.
