Sounds like you will have to manual shift it down below on the transmission housing. Might have to unhook your linkages after you take the cowl off the tractor. Sounds like it needs rebushing kit in your syncro plates. It is not as bad as you think. If you have access to a manual you should be able to follow the guidelines about the adjusting process. I have not worked on a 3020 but our 4020 has had problems in the past. It was money well spent to put new bushings in the plates and after it was adjusted it was shifting like a new one.If I wss guessing you probaly have lost a snap ring off the side of the shaft that holds the lever and syncro plates in place. Sometimes the snap ring just wears out and breaks. Hope this helps you out.
