Dont really know.I just Googled it and came up with what is supposed to be the amount of Gold in Ft Knox.
There was lots more but the government sold it sometime between 1941 and now.
Gold has nothing to do with our currency now.Since 1971 we have not had a gold standard for backing our currency.Since then 75% easy of the gold we had was sold.The USA had more gold than any other country at one time,maybe still does,but the USA has lots less than it did.Hope that answers your question.
